Candlelit evenings at Vaux-le-Vicomte

2,000 candles will light up the castle and garden with their flickering light for a magical moment.

Since 1980, Vaux-le-Vicomte has been the first château to offer night-time tours by candlelight, offering a unique, dreamlike experience: a tour of the château in subdued light and the gardens illuminated by candles! Rediscover the 33 hectares of French-style gardens created by Le Nôtre, the marvellous architecture of Le Vau and the sumptuous paintings by Le Brun under the flickering light of 2,000 candles...

The estate invites you to take a break from time and rediscover, for one evening, some of the magic of the famous celebration of 17 August 1661.

Water games will take place during each of the candlelit evenings at the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte. The water displays take place at dusk, according to the sunset timetable:
